《百年音乐之声》一书,在史料的采用与史实的记写上有许多似乎不该出现的差错或失误。同时作者还在书中结论性地提出了一个背离事实的观点,即所谓20世纪“这100年间,在世界音乐的地图上,前50年的中国音乐是一片空白,一片荒凉;后50年是一片幼苗,一片希望”;这与作者在书中对百年“中国音乐”所作的几十万字介绍、论述的具体内容,明显是严重矛盾的。如果不抱偏见、不以“西方音乐”为坐标来绘制所谓“世界音乐地图”的话,自然就会有“中国音乐”的一席版图或位置。
