谈到二胡这个乐器,今天似乎已经家喻户晓,可能没有中国人不知道这个乐器的。二胡,已经成为传统中国音乐以至传统文化的表征;作为一种乐器,二胡实际上扮演了一种文化角色,甚至成为传统音乐的隐喻。但是,二胡的这种象征意义却出现得相当晚近。本文考察二胡在中国近现代史上与“传统”联系起来的过程。笔者认为,如果没有所谓的“现代性”在中国的出现,二胡就不会有它在中国音乐叙事上
Talking about the musical instrument of erhu, today seems to be a household name, probably no Chinese do not know this instrument. Erhu has become a symbol of traditional Chinese music and even of traditional culture. As a musical instrument, Erhu actually played a cultural role and even became a metaphor for traditional music. However, the symbolic significance of the erhu has appeared quite recent. This essay examines the process by which erhu linked with “tradition” in the modern history of China. The author believes that if there is no so-called “modernity” in China, the erhu will not have it in the Chinese musical narrative
