On April 7, the Pulitzer Institute of Journalism at Columbia University announced the winners of the 76th Pulitzer Prize. There are 21 Pulitzer Prizes this year. Unlike in previous years, there are only 13 news awards this year, the first time in 76 years there is no criticism award. However, a special award was added to seven literary awards. Joseph Pulitzer, a famous American correspondent, was born in Hungary in 1847, died in the United States in 1911, and donated $ 2 million in will to establish the School of Journalism at Columbia University and set up the Pulitzer Prize. The award is selected once a year and was first presented in 1917 with the range of entries published in the United States last year. Formerly limited to news, then expanded to literature, music, etc., the bonus amount from 500 US dollars each to the current 3,000 US dollars. Although the Pulitzer Prize is not an international prize, its winning entries often attract attention.
