两系法杂交稻技术为我国首创,是水稻育种技术上的重大突破,意义重大,为国内外育种界所关注。“八五”期间,国家科委就将两系法杂交稻技术研究及其试种示范分别列为国家“863”高新技术研究发展计划重大关键技术项目和重大成果转化项目。 两系法杂交稻技术是以水稻不育系和恢复系两系配套生产杂交稻种子,省弃了三系法杂交稻中的保持系。因而不但有利于选育出杂种优势更强的杂交稻组合,而且还有利于提高种子纯度和降低生产成本。鄂粳杂1号和鄂粳杂2号的正式审定,将预示着湖北省乃至更为广泛的地区两系法杂交稻大面积生产应用的开端。
Two lines of hybrid rice technology pioneered in China, is a major breakthrough in rice breeding technology, great significance for the breeding industry at home and abroad are concerned about. During the period of the Eighth Five-Year Plan, the State Science and Technology Commission listed the research on two-line hybrid rice technology and its demonstration projects as major key technological projects and major achievements transformation projects of the “863” high and new technology research and development plan respectively. Two lines of hybrid rice technology is based on two lines of male sterile lines and restorer lines to produce hybrid rice seeds, eliminating the three lines of hybrid rice in the maintainer line. Therefore, it is not only conducive to breeding hybrid rice combinations with stronger heterosis, but also help to improve seed purity and reduce production costs. The official validation of Ejingza 1 and Ejingza 2 will mark the beginning of large-scale production and application of two-line hybrid rice in Hubei and even wider areas.
