南京国民政府成立之初,对发展蒙藏教育极为重视,在教育部内特设蒙藏教育司,与蒙藏委员会共同负责筹划蒙藏地区教育发展和行政管理。它们在国民政府初期,共同制定了《蒙藏教育实施方案要目》等纲领性文件,并且调查了蒙藏地区教育现状、督促蒙古地区兴办教育。蒙藏委员会整顿了蒙藏学校,并筹备建设南京、康定等几所蒙藏专门学校,还保送了大量的蒙藏籍学生入大中院校就读。可以说,这在一定程度上促进了蒙藏地区教育的发展。
At the beginning of the founding of the Nanjing National Government, great importance was attached to the development of Mongolian and Tibetan education. The Mongolian and Tibetan Education Department was specially set up within the Ministry of Education to jointly plan the educational development and administration in the Mongolian and Tibetan areas with the Mongolian and Tibetan Affairs Commission. In the early days of the Kuomintang government, they jointly formulated the programmatic documents such as the Essentials of the Plan for the Implementation of Mongolian and Tibetan Education, and investigated the present state of education in the Mongolian and Tibetan areas and urged the establishment of education in Mongolia. The Mongolian and Tibetan Affairs Commission reorganized the Mongolian and Tibetan schools and prepared for the construction of several Mongolian and Tibetan specialized schools in Nanjing and Kangding, and also sent large numbers of Mongolian and Tibetan students to enter colleges and universities. It can be said that this has promoted the development of education in Mongolia and Tibet to a certain extent.
