要实现稳定、有效的外语教师专业发展,就必须立足外语教师意识的发展,构建适合外语教育与课程改革发展的外语教师身份,实现外语教师意识的平衡发展。在外语教师意识中,始终存在对“自我”和“他者”的博弈关系。因此,实现“自我”与“他者”意识的平衡,从认知、情感和行为的层面构建外语教师的身份,明晰外语教师在外语教育专业生态中的角色,从意识到行动生成稳定的专业动力,融入专业活动,这对于外语教师的专业化来说十分必要的。然而,正是由于对外语教师专业发展的意识问题的忽视,使外语教师专业发展的长效性难以得到保障。因此,从长远来看,在外语教师专业发展中,最根本的还是要引导教师对“自我”和“他者”以及专业发展的生态环境形成恰当的认知,以生成专业发展必须的意识和动力。只有外语教师理解、认同自我身份,恰当定位自身发展的高度,走出自我的封闭与局限,构建平衡的“自我”与“他者”关系,形成积极、主动、包容、接纳的意识和态度,才能形成持久的专业发展动力,从而确保专业发展模式、活动的长效性,最终实现外语教师的专业化。
