中庸哲学恪守中道,在处理矛盾时善于执两用中,折中致和,追求中正、中和、稳定与和谐。在艺术上追求“中和之美”的美学理想,在情感表现形式和叙事结构形式上都力图做到“乐而不淫、哀而不伤”。这种审美偏好已积淀为中华民族深层的审美心理结构,成为集体无意识,对中国古代艺术功用的发挥具有深刻的影响。
Doctrine of the Golden Mean abide by Middle Road, good at handling dualism in dealing with conflicts, compromise, and the pursuit of Chiang Kai-shek, neutralization, stability and harmony. In the art, he pursues the aesthetic ideal of “the beauty of neutralization” and strives to achieve “happiness without obscenity, sadness without injury” in the form of emotional expression and narrative structure. This aesthetic preference has accumulated as the deep aesthetic psychology of the Chinese nation, becoming a collective unconscious and having a profound impact on the function of ancient Chinese art.
