目前出版的一些新闻学教科书,在讲到消息写作时,都论及了提炼主题的问题。有的说“每一篇新闻都有一个主题”,“哪怕只写几句话或一句话,也有它的主题”。有的表述得更彻底:“没有‘无新闻主题’的新闻”。只有复旦大学新闻系编写的《新闻采访与写作》一书,谈到了“有少数消息,如简单地报道一种自然现象或一个社会动态,仅仅给读者提供一个新信息,就无所谓提炼主题的问题。但就大多数消息来说,仍然需要通过提炼主题来说明某一问题,或宣传某一种思想、观点”。对这些畅行于新闻系课堂的说法,笔者倒有一点疑义。我认为,通讯需要提炼主题,这是没有争议的。但多数新闻(指消息这种体裁,以下同)不存在提炼
Some of the journalism textbooks currently published have dealt with the subject of refinement when it comes to message writing. Some say “there is a theme for every piece of news,” and “even if only a few words or sentences are written, there are themes.” Some say more thoroughly: “There is no news without a headline.” Only the book “Journalism and Writing” written by Fudan University’s Department of Journalism spoke of “there is a small number of news, such as simply reporting a natural phenomenon or a social movement. It does not matter how to refine the subject merely by providing the reader with a new message.” But for most of the news, there is still a need to refine a theme to illustrate a problem or to promote a certain idea or viewpoint. " The author goes a little bit wrong with these arguments that go well with the Department of Journalism. I think it is not controversial that communication needs to be refined. But most news (referring to the genre of news, the same below) does not exist refining
