戴尔为什么一定要让这个人离开——《告诉你一个缺失的戴尔》一文作者的遭遇

2004年1月5日,本刊第47期“封面故事”刊载读者羲川投书《告诉你一个缺失的戴尔》一文后,新浪、搜狐、网易和Chinabyte等众多知名网站均以第一时间在显著位置予以转载,使得该文在业界和读者群中引起巨大反响,戴尔(中国)的管理模式也首次全方位展示在人们面前。由于读者来信彻底撕开了戴尔(中国)公司的最后一块遮羞布,引起了戴尔公司的极大愤懑。《IT时代周刊》新近获悉,《告诉你一个缺失的戴尔》(以下简称《告》文)一文作者羲川(真名“王真”)已于2004年2月4日被戴尔(中国)公司“劝退”。但王真说,他事实上是被戴尔公司解雇的。本刊了解到,《告》文面市后,戴尔公司本无意于深究王真之责,告诉他“问题不大”,并要他“好好工作”。但春节假期过后,事情发展急转直下,直至元宵节前一天,戴尔高层找到王真谈话,说“事情罩不住了”,成胁他如果不愿意在个人履历上出现“开除”二字,最好选择“主动辞职”。在经过是否与戴尔(中国)“对簿公堂”的考虑后,王真选择了“主动离职”。怀着别样的心情离开戴尔(中国)公司。事情发展至此,本刊对整个事件出现这种结局深表遗憾,并对因为此文发表而给王真带来的影响表示最真诚的歉意。员工在媒体公开发表批评所在公司的言论,究竟是属于个人的言论自由,还是属于违反职业道德和劳动纪律的行为,公司据此辞退员工是否合法,成为戴尔企业文化风波延伸出来的一个法律问题。作为媒体,本刊只能就事实谈事实。但我们对戴尔此举的态度,诚如在《告》文编者按中所言,就企业运作而言,载尔无疑是成功的,但成功的企业是否就可以抛弃,甚至践踏一切与其主业无关的东西? 通过“王真事件”的发生,“人为什么要工作?”“人在工作中,还有没有其他的追求?”“对一家世界知名的企业来说,人性化管理还有无必要?”一系列的问题摆到了置身业界的每一个人的面前…… January 5, 2004, the 47th issue of the “cover story” published reader Xi Chuan Tou Shu “tell you a missing Dell,” a text, Sina, Sohu, Netease and Chinabyte and many other well-known sites are the first time in the Remarkable place to be reproduced, making the article aroused great repercussions in the industry and readers, Dell (China) management model for the first time all-round display in front of people.
