从历届全国及省级盆展中,我们高兴地看到盆景艺术从形式到格局都具有新的突破。不少作品都以较强的艺术内涵而倍受人们的青睐。在立意布局上,已不满足于靠简单规范的形式表现景物,而以明确的主题喻示其艺术底蕴,向更高层次的意境深度开拓。如上海段子敏的《丛林狮吼》,以“狮吼”为鲜明主题,用太湖石为素材,“狮尾”部栽植小叶虎刺,点出丛林景观效果。该作品大胆采用艺术的奇特手段,既体现出“雄狮”猛健的壮观神韵,又具有浓郁的山水风情,把自然美与艺术美巧妙地融合在一起,布局独特,立意新奇,使人顿足留连,耳目一新。盆景和中国画异曲同工,讲究“意在笔先”,但创作所采用的材料不同,能表现的意境深度也各有差异。中国画是平面构图,而盆景创作则是利用具体材料表
