Since the discovery of the body’s own painkiller, and its chemical structure and opiate morphine about 10 years. These substances naturally fall into two groups, namely endorphins and enkephalins. However, these two types of substances are derived from the same parent molecule, and its pharmacological effects are the same in many aspects. The main difference between the two is the role of different parts of the brain. Endorphins are produced in the hypothalamus and act primarily on the limbic system, possibly controlling sexual function. The enkephalin receptor throughout the brain, probably mainly related to the inhibition of pain. Blood samples of marathon runners before and during competitions indicate that beta-endorphin levels are significantly increased and epinephrine concentrations are also elevated
