I remember before the Cultural Revolution, there were some articles that appeared in the press entitled “XXXXXX” and “XXXX Oral Remarks.” For more than a decade, such “oral” articles have been rare. Submission to the press is not only about people who have a culture and who can write essays, but also people who have no culture and can not write essays. Although these people will not write, but they will say that there are many worthy of good things in their minds. In my opinion, editors and reporters as editorial staff of newspapers and periodicals should take the initiative to interview and draft proposals to them. They should invite people to record their oral contents and collate them and publish them. Those who are willing to vote for “oral” manuscripts may as well often ask people to record and organize their own “oral” manuscripts or take the initiative to go to the newspaper editorial department to “dictate” their own articles. If you can really do that, there will surely be a tremendous increase in readers and authors. I think it is really necessary to advocate the publication of some “oral” articles in the newspapers and magazines.
