去年8月,中国译协文学艺术委员会等几个单位发起,召开了一次“文学翻译评论研讨会”。会上涉及的问题很多,其中之一是文学翻译批评的矛头应该指向什么方面、什么人的问题。是应当着重反对为了发财什么坏书都敢译,而且又是抢译、乱译的那些人呢,还是像前一时期有些文章那样,较集中地批评有影响的老翻译家,甚至包括公认的而又巳故的翻译大师。持前一种看法的人自然是理直气壮。认为对大翻译家也不妨评一评的人都表白自己绝无反对清污之意,但因事情涉及师辈,也未能将心中的看法和盘托出。我个人对这个问题思考了有些时日,近来又读了罗新璋同志的《关
