It is known that the reproductive tract is resistant to sexually transmitted diseases caused by human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) or herpes simplex virus (HSV) and mainly relies on humoral and cellular immunity, whereas secretory IgA (SIgA) produced by mucosal immunity is even more important. The adenovirus recombinant vaccine AdgB8 expressing HSV-1 glycoprotein gB was used to immunize female C57BL / 6 mice by both intra-peritoneal (inl) and intraperitoneal (ip) routes and then intravagally infected with HSV-2. The effect and persistence of both anti-HSV immune responses induced in the reproductive tract were evaluated
