采访张建设的时候,他正在北大法学院为学院所有的教授拍摄肖像照。学校特意安排了一个四合院,并陈列了很多他以前拍摄的照片,加上相机和简单的背景,整个工作室几乎就搬了进来。张建设说,在这样的拍摄中总是能碰到一些有趣的事。比如这次不少老教授开始不愿意拍,都觉得自己不缺照片;或者觉得摄影不就是照个证件照嘛,但是到工作现场一看,马上就转变了态度。他说:“有个教授开始特别不愿意来,结果站在院子里看完我的作品后,一边走一边说,我回家去拿了假牙再拍……”在张建设看来,也许这正是肖像摄影魅力的一种体现。因为这样的照片在形式上是本真的,没有任何矫揉造作,将人物的内心呈现出来,并凝练成一种经典的视觉画面,他将之称为——心灵的肖像。 During his interview with Zhang, he was taking portrait portraits of all professors at the School of Law at Peking University.
