因比萨斜塔而闻名世界的意大利比萨市于1992年6月21日～26日在比萨大学会议中心召开了十四届国际液晶会议。这是自从1990年加拿大温哥华十三届国际液晶会议上宣告成立国际液晶学会(简称ILCS)以来,ILCS第一次召集的国际液晶会议,我国已有19名国际液晶学会会员。这次会议规模大,与会者715人,来自38个国家,其德国123人,东道主意大利118人,美国89人,英国80人,日本67人,法国50人,其次为波兰、荷兰、俄罗斯、瑞士、斯洛伐尼亚及瑞典等。来参加会议的国家还有伊位克、沙特阿拉伯、尼泊尔、菲律宾及
The city of Pisa, Italy, famous for its Leaning Tower of Pisa, held its 14th International Conference on Liquid Crystals at the University of Pisa Convention Center from June 21 to June 26, 1992. This is the first international LCD conference convened by ILCS since the International Liquid Crystal Society (ILCS) was announced at the 13th International Conference on LCD in Vancouver, Canada in 1990. There are 19 members of the International Association of Liquid Crystals in China. The conference was large-scale with 715 participants from 38 countries with 123 people in Germany, 118 hosts in Italy, 89 in the United States, 80 in the United Kingdom, 67 in Japan, and 50 in France, followed by Poland, the Netherlands, and Russia. Switzerland, Slovenia, Sweden, etc. Among the countries participating in the conference are Iraqi, Saudi Arabia, Nepal and the Philippines.
