A high-diffraction-efficiency, high-sensitivity methylene blue-sensitive dichromated gelatin (MBDCG) holographic recording material was studied. Holograms recorded with this material are molecularly modified to remove the strong hygroscopic groups of gelatin to obtain a high-diffraction-efficient MBDCG hologram that is stable in high humidity environments
