The first principle of the theory of Confucianism is to set off emotionally by nature: one is temperament, one is sex, the other is sexual, the other is emotional. Humanity is the basis of emotion, and emotion is the result of spontaneous and natural development of human nature. This reveals the organic or physiological basis of emotion, but such feelings are passive. When feeling bad, humans can only rely on external forces to control their emotions. In the process of controlling emotions, actors also lose themselves. This is totally different from the feelings that the West depends on its free will and its own way of controlling emotions. The latter can become the masters of their own emotions, whereas in the Confucian theory of emotions, emotion is passive and selfless.
