根据7个属产地及层位分析,证明晚石炭世腕足动物存在两极分布现象。认为古生物地理大区的混生区是这些两极分布的凉水型分子的起源地,即混生区起源。两极分布的分子具有快的迁移速度,推测凉(冷)水洋流的携带作用是这些凉水分子散布的主要途径。简要叙述了两极分布的性质及在古生物地理区研究中的意义,从另一角度验证了古生物地理区的形成机制──环境控制论的合理性。
Based on the analysis of seven genera and their origin, it is proved that there exists a bipolar distribution in brachiopods in the Late Carboniferous. It is considered that the mixed area of paleobiogeography is the origin of these two polar cold water molecules, that is, the origin of the mixed area. The bipolar molecules have a fast migration speed. It is speculated that the carrying of cool (cold) ocean currents is the main way to disperse these cold water molecules. The character of bipolar distribution and its significance in the study of palaeogeography are briefly described. The formation mechanism of palaeogeography is verified from another perspective - the rationality of environmental control theory.
