唐山铁厂有13m~3高爐38座、61m~3高爐4座,总容积共为738m~3。在1958年建厂初期,由于技术操作水平低,加以原料(特別是焦炭)質量很差,所以生铁化学成份很不稳定,特別是含硫量很高(最高曾达0.5％以上)。1958年11月河北省冶金工业局召开生铁質量会议以后,我們在保証完成生鉄数量任务的同时,展开了提高質量的工作,对硫进行斗爭。今年中央提出“铁要好铁,鋼要好鋼,鋼要成材”的号召之后,我們对脫硫工作此去年更为重視了。現在将我厂爐外脫硫試驗情况介绍如下。

In the early stages of construction in 1958, the chemical composition of pig iron was very unstable due to the low level of technical operation and the poor quality of the raw materials (especially coke), especially the high sulfur content (up to 0.5% above). After the Metallurgical Industry Bureau of Hebei Province convened the quality meeting of pig iron in November 1958, we started the work of improving quality and struggling with sulfur while ensuring the completion of the number of births.
