熔模精密铸造在世界各国都已获得广泛运用,因为这种工艺方法能得到精度高和光洁度好的铸件.然而,目前广泛采用的制模材料(下面简称模料)——石腊硬脂酸混合料(简称腊料),尚存在一定的缺点,阻碍了这种新工艺的应用和推广。这种腊料之缺点是:熔点较低(45~50~。C),塑性较大(随温度之升高而增大),强度较小(6~9公斤/厘米~2),收缩较大(2~3%)以及光洁度较差等。因此,降低了铸件的精度及光洁度,限制了它的使用范围,尤其是在炎热的夏天和我国南部地区,带来更多的困难。
