According to the latest survey results, 14.4% of Korean adults have suffered from mental illness. For this reason, South Korea will implement a national mental illness check. The Korea Ministry of Health and Welfare recently announced the “Comprehensive Measures for Promoting Mental Health” that includes the above. According to the contents of the measures, from the next year, all South Korean citizens will receive at least 19 mental health examinations throughout their lives. The results of last year’s survey showed that at least 14.4% (519 million) of Korean adults had mental illness during their lifetime. If they are under 18 years of age who are subjected to school violence, game poisoning, and pressure to study, South Korean nationals I am afraid that the problem of mental illness will be even more serious. The results of the Korea Ministry of Health and Welfare also showed that only 15.3% of adults with adult mental illness in Korea went to hospital for treatment or sought expert advice. That is to say, most people with mental illness are in a state of neglect. For this reason, the Korean Ministry of Health and Welfare conducted mental health examinations for all citizens. This practice is very rare in the world.
