利用国外研制的新设备——带卷箱,实现热带钢连轧机高速恒速轧制,加大板坯单位宽度重量(28.5～36kg/mm 宽),采用高产量大型步进式加热炉与中间轧机,可以大幅度提高热带钢连轧机产量。这种技术改造有可能成为我国今后十五年内发展钢铁工业的重要途径之一。我国已有四套及正在筹建两套共六套热带钢连轧机,如采用上述技术改造实现“超级化”,可使我国的热带钢年产量增加770～1060万 t,达到年产2710～3010万 t 热带钢卷的水平,改造投资4.82～7.38亿元,仅为新建厂投资的18.5～20.5%,建新厂需投资26～36亿元。这样的枝术改造投资省,易实现,时间短,见效快,经济效益极高。新建厂实行“超级化”,产量可增加45～50%(年产量由400万 t 增加到580～600万 t),投资仅需增加7～10%,经济效益更为显著。
