华裔美籍女作家张纯如的英文著作《南京暴行——第二次世界大战被遗忘的大屠杀》,1997年出版后反映巨大,连续列入“《纽约时报》畅销书榜”中。作者深入探究日本侵略军南京大屠杀真相,书中材料翔实丰富,许多是从对幸存者和目击者的访谈中得到的第一手资料,还有从历史档案中发掘的权威资料。2005年5月,东方出版社推出了该书的中文新译本《南京大屠杀》,提醒世人永远不要忘记人类历史上曾有过这样惨绝人寰的一幕。在抗日战争胜利60周年之际,本刊特摘选书中有关日本右翼分子掩盖那场血腥杀戮真相的内容,旨在让善良的人们时刻保持应有的警醒。
The Chinese writer Zhang Chunru’s English book, “Atrocity of Nanjing - The Forgotten Massacre of World War II”, was a huge reflection after its publication in 1997 and was continuously listed in the “New York Times Bestseller List.” The author explores in depth the truth of the Nanjing Massacre by Japan’s Invading Forces.
