美国陆军飞行系统指挥部应用技术实验室已经授予Garrett引擎公司一个为期42个月、价值81.6万美元的合同,以演示激光硬化飞机重载齿轮的适用性。该计划的目的是鉴别适于飞机级激光硬化齿轮用的材料、演示处理的方法、比较激光硬化齿轮和碳化齿轮的性能、演证激光硬化重载飞机齿轮在生产率、成本及性能方面的适用性。预计该计划可以得到一个激光硬化飞机级齿轮的加工规范和40个可能应用的齿轮。
The US Army Flight Systems Command Applied Technology Laboratory has awarded Garrett Engine a 42-month, $ 816,000 contract to demonstrate the suitability of heavy-duty gear for laser-hardened aircraft. The purpose of this program is to identify materials suitable for aircraft-grade laser-hardened gears, demonstrate methods of handling, compare the performance of laser-hardened gears and carbide gears, and demonstrate the applicability of laser-hardened heavy-duty aircraft gears in terms of productivity, cost and performance . The program is expected to receive a laser-hardened aircraft-grade gear specification and 40 gears that may be used.
