In the early days of the war of resistance against Japan, national literary and art organizations and institutions were gradually established in Wuhan, and Wuhan became the national center of literature. The determination to vow to fight the war and the optimistic and confident with hope for victory constitute the mainstream of the Wuhan literature in the early days of the Anti-Japanese War. The emergence of fiction, drama, poetry, communication, reportages and special features emerged one after another. The war literature in Wuhan presented a new look of diversity and the times. In the early days of the war, the themes of Wuhan literature and anti-imperialism converged against the Japanese imperialist aggression. Anti-feudalism was more against the traitors and against the surrender of the traitorous countries. After the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japan, the war shortened the distance between the writer and the real life, narrowed the gap between the writer and the general public, closely linked the relationship between literature and the public, and reinforced the ideological function of literary education for mobilizing the public. In the early days of the War of Resistance, Wuhan literature came into being at the critical moment of the strongest voice of the times. Literature should make the ordinary people and soldiers in the armed forces understand it. It must be popularized and enlarged as far as possible. Wuhan Anti-Japanese Literature is a national literature of the anti-Japanese national united front.
