The role of trace elements of copper on the eye as early as people’s attention in recent years with the development of micro-analysis technology, the human body made progress on basic research on copper. Trace elements copper is an indispensable element of the human body, has a special physiological and biochemical effects. Copper often exists as an important component of certain enzymes and is closely related to cell activity. Copper deficiency or excess often shows the corresponding tissue function and structural abnormalities. The study of trace elements copper to understand the normal components of the eye tissue, some important eye function, clarify the pathogenesis of eye disease is of great significance. Quantitative determination of copper has been used as a diagnostic basis for some eye diseases or as a reliable indicator of early surgery and prognosis of some eye diseases. Now see the literature summarized as follows. First, the metabolism of copper and tissue distribution Copper is widely distributed in nature, people daily intake of food from 2.5 to 5mg of copper. Mainly from the meat, absorbed into the digestive tract
