As one of the representative works of Samuel Beckett’s absurdist drama, “The End” vividly embodies his unconventional, anti-logical and anti-aesthetic aesthetic style and artistic features. However, from an in-depth analysis, the play has also been influenced by the Bible. The clues can be found in the archetypes of the Bible, especially the story of Noah’s Ark, both in terms of the stage background, characters and the central theme. By analyzing and comparing the relationship between the “final” and the Bible, it not only helps to deeply understand Beckett’s philosophical view, but also helps to promote the study of the absurd drama.
