2002年能耗核算表明,燕山石化三催化车间还存在一定的节能潜力。其中较为明显的是热工系统存在的一些问题:余热锅炉再生排烟温度偏高;中压产汽线压降太大,产汽温度偏低;E-701没有实现高温操作;再生排烟C0含量偏高;混合烟气中C0不能在炉前完全燃烧,既造成排烟能量损失,还可能使烟机叶片积炭,影响该机组高负荷安全运行。针对存在的问题,三催化通过使用高选择性催化剂,保持一定的平衡催化剂活性,改进汽提段设计,取得了较好的效果。2003年4月的技术改造中,三催化又采用了高效雾化喷嘴,优化反应区设计,更换主风机主汽门喷嘴等技术措施,使车间的节能降耗收到了良好的效果。
