父母教育孩子都是具体地从学认字和数数开始的,有的家庭还教孩子弹琴、绘画、舞蹈……(我们泛称之为文化,技艺)。但不少父母对这方面注意得多,忽视了智力开发。针对这种现象,有些教育工作者提出,要注意培养、开发儿童智力,而不应当单纯去学习文化、技艺……。这种意见是对的。因为如果一个儿童的智力不是很好的,他的文化、技艺也就不可能达到较高的水平。可是如果过分强调了后者,而把具体的学习文化、技艺放在末位,不加重视,甚至贬视、否定,这也是不对的。
Parents educate their children specifically from the school to recognize words and numbers, and some families also teach children to play the piano, drawing, dancing ... (we generally referred to as culture, art). But many parents pay more attention to this aspect, ignoring the development of intelligence. In response to this phenomenon, some educators put forward that we should pay attention to cultivating and developing children’s intelligence rather than simply learning about culture and skills. This opinion is correct. Because if a child’s intelligence is not very good, his culture, skills will not reach a high level. However, if the latter is overemphasized, it is also wrong to place a specific learning culture and skills on the bottom without paying any attention to it, or even derogate or deny it.
