Based on the conceptualization of cognitive linguistics, the dissertation elaborates on the differences between English and Chinese existential sentences on the basis of examples and makes a cognitive analysis. There is a single fixed orientation in the conceptualization of English verbs, while the existing objects are often rightward oriented. However, the conceptual orientation of the Chinese verbs is neither fixed nor left or right. The commonalities of the existing sentences in English and Chinese are caused by the two peoples of both English and Chinese being based on the same physical experience and social experience. The concept is experiential, and both peoples have the same schema for each of these gestures, which are stored parallel to the neural plane of the brain; the differences between the two are caused by different modalities of the motion schema The mode parameters include the intensity and direction of the action, which is the cognitive motivation to explain the difference between the two directions.
