课堂分组讨论是大学英语课堂上最常用课堂活动组织形式之一,也被认为是提高学生英语交际能力的有效手段。但在具体操作过程中,课堂分组讨论存在诸多弊端。这主要是因为:首先由于班额太大,老师无法有效监控每个小组讨论的具体实施情况;其次受限于东方人交流策略,学生的参与程度不均衡;最后,受限于学生的英语水平,临时安排的课堂讨论会让学生觉得无从谈起。该文将在逐步分析以上问题的基础上提出有效解决对策。
Classroom discussion in class is one of the most commonly used forms of classroom activities in college English classroom. It is also considered as an effective way to improve students’ communicative competence in English. However, during the specific operation, there are many drawbacks in the group discussion in class. This is mainly due to the fact that teachers are not able to effectively monitor the specific implementation of each panel discussion because of the large number of classes. Second, due to the communication strategy of the East, the participation of students is not balanced. Finally, the students are limited in their English proficiency , Temporary arrangements for class discussions make students feel speechless. This article will analyze the above problems on the basis of an effective solution to the problem.
