马克思主义在“五四”前后传入中国,对近百年的中国古代文学研究产生了重要影响。它适应近百年来中华文化发展变化的大势,引导人们对传统文化与现代化的关系进行思考,将古代文学研究的视角,由传统的重视教化之功与陶冶性情,转向对社会现实的关注和文学本体的认识,并建构了一个以“批判继承”为主导的阐释体系。在中华民族走向现代化的今天,这对如何更为全面深入地认识丰富多彩的古代文学传统,弘扬优秀的中华传统文化,进行文化创新,仍然起着重要作用。
