The clinical data of 823 cases (837 ears) of sudden sensory nerve deafness (SHL) treated by House Ile Branch Clinical Laboratory from January 1989 to December 1993 were retrospectively analyzed. Among them, 14 Ear SHL and 809 cases of single-ear SHL were compared to computerized statistical processing. The results showed that the majority of cases were idiopathic and only a few were able to identify the cause, such as autoimmune inner ear disease (AIE
