If high technology has become a religion of our time, visiting Silicon Valley is like a pilgrimage. Hundreds of places around the world are building “Silicon Valley,” but there is only one true Silicon Valley after all. This is the piece of strip that stretches from San Francisco to the south and San Francisco Bay to San Jose. In December, Northern California, although it added a bit of chill, the sun still shines. We drove along Highways 101 and 280 and walked through this valley, about 100 kilometers from north to south, and about 30 kilometers from east to west. Seen by sight, there are no skyscrapers, no chimneys, only shady trees, lawns, and a two- and three-story building nestled between them. These buildings are of various shapes, some are single-family villas, and others are connected.
