The particle size distribution of coarse aggregate (pebble or gravel) directly affects the technical performance of concrete. However, in some areas during collection and processing, due to limitations in equipment and process levels, it is often difficult to supply materials in accordance with the gradation range specified in the “standard”, and only after the arrival at the site, manual grading will be performed. One or more than two different types of coarse aggregates are used with a certain weight ratio. The determination of this proportional relationship must be measured and built on the basis of good grading. There are many methods to determine the good gradation ratio of coarse aggregates.
