由大连内燃机车研究所、大连机车车辆工厂和北京内燃机务段共同研制和试验的斩波励磁装置装在东风40116号和2002号机车上,在京包线的北京—大同区段和京承线运行考核。0116号机车已运行近20万公里,2002号机车已运行近8万公里。运行中未发生大的影响行车的故障。初步试验证明,斩波励磁装置性能良好,运行基本可靠。斩波励磁就是以直流起动辅助发电机做公用直流电源,经过可控硅斩波器,以直流斩波的方式对牵引发电机的励磁电流进行直接控
The chopper excitation device, jointly developed and tested by Dalian Diesel Locomotive Research Institute, Dalian Locomotive and Rolling Stock Plant and Beijing Internal Combustion Engine Service, was installed on Dongfeng 40116 and No. 2002 locomotives and was operated on the Beijing-Datong section of Beijing-Baoan Line and Jingzheng Line Assessment. 0116 locomotive has been running nearly 200,000 km, 2002 locomotive has been running nearly 80,000 km.
