《情报量的计算方法》(以下简称《方法》)一文,采用申农(Shannon, C. E.)的方法,借助每个字符携带的平均信息量(H)来计算文献的总信息量(I=mH)。再通过所提供的文献资料信息与用户需要之间的“模糊相关性”(D)的运算,求出文献字符提供的平均情报量(He=DH)和总情报量(Q=mHe)。《方法》一文的作者能打开思路,大胆探索一些问题,其精神是可佳的,值得提倡。但文中所建立的数学模型考虑欠周,不能用来解决实际问题,其理由如下:
The method of calculating the amount of information (hereinafter referred to as “method”) uses the method of Shannon (CE) to calculate the total amount of information in a document by means of the average amount of information (H) carried by each character (I = mH ). Then we can get the average information (He = DH) and total intelligence (Q = mHe) provided by the literature characters through the “fuzzy correlation” (D) between the provided literature information and the user's needs. The author of “Method” can open his mind and boldly explore some problems. His spirit is good and worth promoting. However, the mathematic model established in this article considers the lack of time and can not be used to solve practical problems for the following reasons:
