Survival and death are major philosophical propositions and major literary propositions. However, so far, there are not many works in Chinese contemporary literature that can die with complete sincerity and courage. The realistic novelists mostly explore the students’ writers. No matter in urban literature or local literature, the protagonists live and struggle vigorously. Even if they are pessimistic, their anger is still pointing to the reality. Among the revered writers, I am afraid that only two of them have ignited themselves, using life as a torch to illuminate the two circles of life and death we realize, one is Shi Tiesheng and the other is Zhou Daxin. Zhou Daxin has experienced the pain of a middle-aged child, wrote “Requiem” three years later. This work is extraordinary. It consists of the dialogue between the author and Zhou Zi, who passed away in his early years. As you can imagine, How many tears did the author shed when deciding to write and start writing.
