At present, Canada adopts an economical and accurate management method for monitoring the state of forest depletion in a large area, that is, using 1: 10000 topographic maps to manage the forest area in UTM map coordinates of 10Km ~ 2 units. These maps form the basis for managing Canada’s forest resources. A large number of wilting data were obtained from 1: 40000 to 1: 70000 aerial photographs. Air Photo Town to check from the State Aviation Library, the provincial level has a similar aerodrome, there are 1: 1 million to 1: 50000 photos of the flight information produced by the aerial drawings, reports, data and so on. However, most of the original information is 10 to 30 years ago. These extant data provide a valuable working basis. Currently, significant changes in forest resources are required for specific locations. Satellite images, especially color transparencies, can get the best information at a lower cost. The difficulty lies in the need to interpret and transcribe the data into suitable maps. Despite the low resolution of Landsat images, the burned woodland vestibules are clear, deforested, and newly forested roads are easily identified and optically interpret the required information from the image detail.
