The “Anti-Japanese War Period” in Shanghai refers to January 1932 to August 1945, or “January 28” surrender of the Songhu Anti-Japanese War to the Japanese invaders. On January 28, 1932, Japanese imperialism created a “January 28” incident in Shanghai that stunned China and other countries in an attempt to invade the Yangtze River Delta. Shanghai privately owned Asian-American radio stations and Radio broadcasters came forward at a time of crisis in Shanghai. They persisted in their daily broadcasting of anti-Japanese news, organized fundraisers to comfort former compatriots and relief compatriots in their efforts to support the anti-Japanese activities of the 19th Route Army in Shanghai. On July 7, 1937, Japanese imperialists fabricated the Lugouqiao Incident in Beijing and launched the war of aggression against China in an all-round way.
