6月下旬以来，湖北省遭遇百年一遇特大洪水，长江汛情之大，水位之高、持续时间长、动用抗洪人力物力之巨，均为历史罕见。这次防洪抗灾，湖北人民广播电台出动记者100多人次深人抗洪一线，及时、准确、全面地报道抗洪斗争。湖北台打破常规，各主要新闻节目连续两个月延长播出
Since the end of June, Hubei Province has suffered a century-long floods. The floods in the Yangtze River are high, the water level is high, and the duration is long. The huge amount of manpower and resources used in flood fighting are rare in history.
