In order to reveal the influence of pedestrian characteristics on pedestrian behavior on basic pedestrian road, 1882 walking samples were collected from statistical analysis of the observed data, and the distribution characteristics of pedestrian speed, stride and stride frequency were analyzed. And the differences of pedestrians’ gender and age difference The significance of the influence of walking behavior hypothesis test. The results showed that the step speed, stride length and stride frequency were normal distribution. Under the significance level of 0.05, the effect of gender on the walking behavior was significant. Except for the differences in pace and stride between children and the elderly, The differences in pace, stride and stride average among children, youth, middle-aged and elderly are all significant. The research results have important guiding significance for the planning, design and management of pedestrian facilities.
