新闻从业者是一个高压力的职业,特别是处于社会转型和媒介市场化进程中的中国新闻从业者面临着前所未有的压力。本论文基于一项全国新闻从业者调查显示,新闻从业者的工作强度较大,而来自经济收入方面的压力最大,因子分析显示,新闻从业者压力分经济收入压力、单位政治压力、单位经营压力、个人归属压力和身份压力五个维度,不同性别、不同教育程度从业者压力无显著差异,不同媒体、不同身份从业者压力感差异较显著,而不同性质媒体、不同职务从业者压力感差异较小,50岁及50岁以上的从业者在各项压力上均最小,随着从业年限的增长,从业者感受到的来自经济收入和个人归属方面的压力均显著降低,论文指出,有序的竞争促进媒体的发展,而过度竞争造成的压力不利于新闻从业者的成长。
