白水峪水电站在技施设计阶段坚持采用新技术、新工艺,优化设计,解决了关键技术问题:采用“表孔宽尾墩十戽式消力池”新型消能工;加强对边坡变形的监测和采用锚固洞、锚固桩加固方案;坝体纵缝用斜缝不灌浆结构型式;表孔弧门闸墩采用预应力结构;戽式消力池底板缝间设封闭止水铜片;主厂房采用“雁形板”屋面;以及机电设计采用新技术等等,共计节省工程投资1000多万元,为降低工程造价发挥了重要作用。
