基于“结构主义”语言学、心理学的影响,初中英语教学往往关注英语语音、语汇和语法教学,而忽视了对学生跨文化意识培养。任何一种语言都是用于交际的,学生学会了语音、语法,掌握了语汇并不等于其言语交往能力得到了提升。语言学家海姆斯认为“语言是社会交际的重要手段”。语言交际能力不仅包括语言能力,而且包括对与语言有关的社会文化因素的充分了解和掌握。因此,在初中英语教学中,教师必须重视对学生跨文化意识培养,提高学生跨文化交际能力。
Based on the influence of “structuralism ” linguistics and psychology, junior high school English teaching tends to focus on English phonetics, vocabulary and grammar teaching, while ignoring the students’ cross-cultural awareness training. Any language is used for communication, students learn the voice, grammar, mastered the vocabulary does not mean that their ability to communicate with speech has been enhanced. Hynes, a linguist, believes that “language is an important means of social communication.” The communicative competence not only includes language ability, but also includes fully understanding and mastery of language-related social and cultural factors. Therefore, in junior high school English teaching, teachers must attach importance to cultivating students ’intercultural awareness and improving students’ intercultural communicative competence.
