Medical staff often get the Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection because they accidentally get acupuncture. However, no neutralizing antibodies or vaccines prevent the spread of HCV. The authors report two cases of medical staff who received acute hepatitis C due to acupuncture accidents and discussed the treatment of interferon (IFN) to prevent the occurrence of chronic hepatitis C.
