718合金因具有良好的高温力学性能、良好的耐海水腐蚀性能、良好的耐氧化性能而用于238Pu同位素电池热源结构层包壳。因238PuO2热源释放出的中子(大部分为快中子)可能会使718合金中部分核素被活化。本工作研究了238PuO2热源中子辐照718合金的活化情况。本工作采用中子能量与238PuO2(中子平均能量2MeV)相近的252Cf(裂变中子能量2.5MeV)
The 718 alloy is used for cladding 238Pu isotope battery heat source structure due to its good high temperature mechanical properties, good seawater corrosion resistance and good oxidation resistance. The neutron (mostly fast neutrons) released by the 238PuO2 heat source may activate some nuclei in the 718 alloy. This work investigated the activation of 238PuO2 neutron source irradiated 718 alloy. This work uses 252Cf (fission neutron energy of 2.5 MeV) with neutron energy similar to 238PuO2 (neutron average energy of 2MeV)
