Mogao Grottoes, commonly known as Thousand-Buddha Caves, is located in Dunhuang City, the western end of Hexi Corridor, Gansu Province. It is famous for its exquisite murals and statues. Formed in the pre-Qin period of the 16 countries, it has formed a huge scale after the construction of 16 dynasties, the Northern Dynasties, the Sui Dynasty, the Tang Dynasty, the Five Dynasties, the Western Xia Dynasty and the Yuan Dynasty.
