作为上世纪80年代便开始步入画坛的艺术家,夏福宁的艺术语言不可避免地受西方表现主义的影响,但其作品内核恰恰承接了中国古老的文人画传统。无论是之前以日常物象为主题的系列作品还是最近创作的一系列纸上作品,夏福宁的作品中都表现出一种疏远、抽离的避世姿态。夏福宁始终通过这种疏远与抽离来保持自己内心的真诚和纯粹。在我看来这既是他对自身的生命状态的观照,又何尝不是对当下社会的批判与思考?
As an artist who started to enter the painting circles in the 1980s, Xia Funing’s artistic language is inevitably influenced by Western expressionism. However, his works’ core takes on the ancient tradition of Chinese literati painting. Whether it is a series of works on the theme of everyday objects or a series of works created on paper recently, all of the works of Xia Funing present an evasive and evasive evasion gesture.
